Man arrested for brandishing a weapon

San Mateo County Sheriff's deputies arrested 55-year-old Victor San Augustine after finding he was wanted for disturbing the peace and brandishing a weapon. The arrest was made at 8:15 p.m., Dec. 6, in the Strawflower Village parking lot. The original call was for a suspicious person. San Augustine's two dogs were turned over to the Peninsula Humane Society for safekeeping.

EL GRANADA

12:15 a.m., Dec. 6, The Alameda

Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to sounds of verbal altercation. They found a 32-year-old El Granada man yelling at his girlfriend. Deputies determined the man was too drunk to care for himself and he was taken to First Chance.

HALF MOON BAY

Disorderly conduct

7 p.m., Dec. 8, Highway 1

A 49-year-old transient appeared too drunk to care for himself and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

DUI

10:39 p.m., Dec. 1, Highway 1 at Venice Boulevard

An 18-year-old La Honda resident was arrested and jailed after failing a field sobriety test.

12:07 a.m., Dec. 9, Highway 92

Three juveniles - one 15 years old - were stopped and charged with possession of marijuana. The driver was also charged with DUI.

Fight

5:57 p.m., Dec. 9, Highway 1

Police responded to a fight and found two men who had minor injuries. They did not want to prosecute and both agreed to leave the area.

Missing person

7:50 p.m., Dec. 6, Highway 1

Police were called by authorities in Livermore about a missing 13-year-old girl. Police here found her and helped return her to her parents.

Traffic accident

10:50 a.m., Dec. 6, Highway 1 and Roosevelt Boulevard

Police investigating a minor accident found one driver didn't have proof of insurance. The driver was cited and released.

Theft

10:50 p.m., Dec. 6, St. John Avenue

A homeowner told police that a 1998 green Dodge Durango was stolen from the driveway.

1:13 a.m., Dec. 7, Burning Tree Court

A woman called police to say her vehicle had been stolen, but police found it a short distance away. It appeared she had simply forgotten where she parked it.

6:07 p.m., Dec. 7, Highway 1

Police responded to a minor hit-and-run and heard that the culprit was a woman driving a white Dodge Caravan.

Warrants

10:15 p.m., Dec. 8, Highway 1 at Terrace Avenue

Police made a traffic stop and discovered a 22-year-old man from Rossville had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. He was cited and released on his promise to appear in court.

2:29 a.m., Highway 1

A 26-year-old San Francisco woman was arrested for DUI after being stopped for a traffic violation.

PRINCETON

Drunk in public

8 p.m., Dec. 5, Capistrano Road

A 50-year-old Princeton man was arrested on charges of being drunk in public after complaints that he was challenging others to fight.
