Brittney Boyd and Rachel Graham each scored three goals to help Half Moon Bay High School rally to beat Terra Nova, 9-7, clinching the Peninsula Athletic League Ocean Division girls water polo title, Wednesday. It's Half Moon Bay's first ever league title for water polo.
The Cougars trailed 4-1 after one quarter. The Cougars pulled to within one, before the Tigers scored with three seconds left in the half.
Following an exchange of goals, the Cougars scored three goals in a 72-second span in the third quarter, taking the lead for good. Graham scored twice over the period, with Boyd's goal giving Half Moon Bay the lead for good.
Half Moon Bay closes out the regular season on Oct. 24, hosting Carlmont. The Cougars participate in the PAL playoffs, starting Oct. 30.
