The first friend I made when we moved here was Jennifer Celeste. She came to me at Rob's celebration of life and told me she was with a very dear friend of hers, Sandy Charles, and was telling her about going to a celebration of life for a friend's son. Sandy said, "I'm going to one also. My son Marcus just lost a very close friend." Rob was the connection. They were both coming to the same celebration of Rob's life.
That is the small town of Half Moon Bay, the village that is connected through family and friends.

I cherish all the thoughts, talks, stories and hugs that everyone has shared with us.
Marcus Charles of Coast to Coast Painting, who was a big part of Rob's life, put together Rob's fund-raiser at Princeton Landing along with Mike Horgen, Cheri Occhipinti, Jason Luhan, Sandy Charles, Celia Dixon and Power Line Productions. This was a huge undertaking that took a lot of thought, time and energy. We can't thank you enough. We would also like to thank Reb, the owner of Old Princeton Landing, for his huge donation. These bands also donated their talents: Current, Eric Schickenberg, Penche Hueros, The Dust, and The Capo Brothers.
Rob was definitely there - you could feel the love everyone had for him. More than $5,000 was collected for Megan, Mia and Felicia. Thank you everyone!
Thank you also to these contributors of donations: NorCal, HMB Board, Mavericks, Mezza Luna, Ketch Joanne, California Tan, Galaxy Nails, Pasta Moon, Richard Concini, and Kathy and Howie at Stop and Go (Easy) Mart.
We would also like to thank Susie Victorino for your help with the celebration at the Harbor House. It all came together fabulously. The spreading of ashes on Aug. 25 was led by his very good friend Josh Luchetti, who, with other surfing buddies, on a beautiful day at Año Nuevo, gave Rob the perfect send off. Josh and anyone who surfed with Rob: you all know of the special bond and connection you have. There are no words.
It's been especially difficult for Megan, Mia and Felicia as Rob had started a major remodeling project on their home. A special thanks goes out to Luchetti, Phillip Caughell, Joey DeMartini, Joel Nemo and Mark Weisbarth for their help in working to finish their home.
As many of you know, Rob's organs were donated and all recipients are doing well. This has dramatically changed the lives of seven people. The Half Moon Bay village just got a little bigger. He lived. He gave to others. He made a difference.
He was blessed to have found his soul mate, Megan. Together they had two beautiful daughters, Mia and Felicia, who lit up his life. He was a great dad, a loyal friend and a loving son.
We have two beautiful little girls to raise and love. We will let them know what a beautiful person their daddy was. Half Moon Bay, I know you will do your part.
Dolores "Lola" Wagner is the mother of Robert Wagner, who died on Aug. 14.
