Long Branch Saloon and Farm, along with Cameron's Restaurant and Inn, are teaming up to host a fund-raiser to support the planned medians in Half Moon Bay. Organizers hint at a wild event that will combine fun and funds to help beautify the coast.
It takes place from 6 to 10 p.m. at the farm, located at 321 Verde Road, five miles south of Half Moon Bay.

There will also be an all-you-can-eat, Western-style barbecue. And there will be a raffle, silent and live auction which will draw from a slew of items like resort stays (locally and including the Greenbrier resort in West Virginia), dinners, jewelry and local services.
History buffs will be entertained by reliving the "Barbary Coast" with the grand opening of the saloon's Palace Grand Parlor, which boasts an authentic bar originally built in 1876 for the Palace Hotel in San Francisco.
The evening will also include opportunities for gambling, which will be part of the $75 "buy in" fee for the evening.
Proceeds are slated to go toward the completion of the highway medians along Highway 1 north and south of Kelly Avenue. The money will also go into the construction process, including digging into the soil, installing a watering system, and setting up protections for the workers.
Space is limited and immediate reservations are recommended.
To make reservations, contact the Half Moon Bay Coastside Chamber of Commerce and Visitors' Bureau at 726-8380, ext. 100, or visit www.hmbchamber.com.
