The 12s were the only team to come away with the title, defeating Castro Valley Black, 12-4.

12s RALLY IN SEMIFINALS
The 12-year-old team finished second in its pool. After defeating San Jose 11-9, the Waves found themselves in a 7-2 hole against the San Ramon Stompers.
"At the end of the inning, I reminded the kids that we scored eight runs in an inning," coach Deanna Rocha said. "If we could do that, we could score five runs in three innings."
Once the Waves caught up, they kept on scoring, finishing with an 11-7 win.
"I'm not that surprised that we came back to win," Brooke Penner said. "We have done that a lot this summer. It was very exciting."
Alyssa Giannini was 3-for-3 with a double and a triple. Marina Stewart was also 3-for-3 with a double. Penner hit two doubles. Lyndsay Klimenko singled and tripled. Jessica Lehane added two singles.
"After we got a few runs, we started to pump ourselves up," Giannini said. "Once we got the lead, we said why stop now? Let's keep on going."
The Waves kept the momentum through the title game, scoring early and often, defeating Castro Valley, 12-4.
Penner and Giannini were 4-for-4 in the game. Lehane and Klimenko each added three hits.
"We just play our hardest, trying to win," Christy St. Charles said. "We are doing a lot of the little things. That's what's helping us win."
14s POWER TO SECOND PLACE
The Waves found their hitting stroke, batting at a .424 clip.
Lauren Irish led the way, hitting at a sizzling .647 clip. Seven of her 11 hits went for extra bases.
Melissa Kalkin wasn't far behind, hitting .600. Laura Acton hit .529.
Leading up to the title game, Half Moon Bay outscored its opponents, 45-18.
Its closest game was a 4-3 win over the East Bay Blast. Irish doubled in Miranda Reimche with the tying run and scored on Heather Garcia's single.
10s GO 5-1 AT TOURNEY
After going undefeated in pool play, the Waves won the first two games in the championship portion of the tournament.
They first beat Campbell, 11-2, with McKenna Crofton going 3-for-3 and Harlee Donovan and Marielle Holmboe each getting two hits.
