San Mateo County Sheriff's deputies were contacted by a motorist who reported a disoriented woman standing in the middle of Highway 1 near the Point Montara Lighthouse. When deputies got there they found traffic stopped in both directions and a woman standing in the road. Deputies then saw a motorist exit his vehicle and drag the woman off the roadway to the east side shoulder. The motorist told deputies that the woman was extremely drunk. The 56-year-old La Honda woman began struggling violently and continued cursing and threatening the deputies. She reportedly told them she knew where they lived and was going to kill them. After being checked at an area hospital, she was taken to county jail.

A 26-year-old Half Moon Bay man was arrested for drunken driving after San Mateo County Sheriff's deputies spotted his car drifting over the center line on Highway 1. He was taken to county jail.

A homeowner showed deputies that two of his cars appeared to have been damaged with "a chemical agent." The cost to repaint the cars was pegged at $1,500.

Deputies responded to a fight in progress. When they responded they found one man bleeding from the elbow. It took them three attempts to get the man to stop walking. Once he did, they learned he was too drunk to care for himself. He was taken to county jail.

9:35 a.m., San Mateo Road
Police arrested Dawnetta Fondrin of San Francisco and Peter Junker of Montara after Fondrin allegedly tried to pass a forged check at Rite Aid. Police say Fondrin fled the store when confronted, hitting another car in the parking lot. When police caught up with her they found heroin in the car as well as stolen property. She faces a slew of charges, and her passenger, Junker, was arrested for parole violation.

Officers responded to a hit-and-run accident.

A caller reported a possible restraining order violation. Officers checked the restrictions of the court order and established that there was not a violation.

A caller told police that four people were trying to open the doors of parked cars.

A police officer attended a meeting at Hatch Elementary School with staff and a 10-year-old boy who threatened other students. According to police reports, the boy was admonished and will be disciplined by the school.

Deputies arrested 44-year-old Hoa Trang as he was walking over Devil's Slide. He is on parole and didn' t have permission to leave Bakersfield. He was charged with felony parole violation and taken to county jail.
Stolen property
9:21 p.m., May 28, Gray Whale Cove
Deputies stopped to check on 34-year-old Meliton Lara of Mountain View after finding him slumped over the wheel of his car. They say he was very drunk and in possession of marijuana and stolen property, including a laptop computer, a woman's wallet and a credit card. He was charged with felony possession of stolen property, among other things.

Deputies took a report of a theft from an unlocked and unattended vehicle. The victim told deputies someone stole two purses and a cell phone from her car while it was parked in her driveway.

Someone reported that two cell phones - collectively valued at $400 - were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
4:30 p.m., May 26, Montara State Beach
A woman left her backpack in an unlocked vehicle. Three hours later it was gone, along with her college textbooks and three credit cards.

Deputies were dispatched to a report of a truck driver trying to free the vehicle from a ditch. They determined the driver was drunk after he admitted to having consumed "three or maybe five beers." He was taken to county jail.

A South Coast resident discovered that someone had been ordering things using the victim's credit card information. She also learned the post office had inadvertently delivered some of the booty to the wrong address.
