A 16-voice ensemble, directed by Kris Yenney and including three Coastsiders, will lift their voices in four- to six-part harmony in a concert of the world's music this Sunday.

"M'Earth Tones in Concert," to benefit G.R.A.C.E. USA, will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 10, at the Cypress Meadows Event Center at 343 Cypress Ave. in Moss Beach.

Using multiple harmonies, the eight-man, eight-woman chorus will sing selections "from James Taylor to P.D.Q. Bach," said Coastsider Linda Grace Frost.

The music, she continued, will range from ancient to contemporary works, and cover the "sacred, profane, seriously comedic and humorously serious." This is an annual concert, she said, and will touch on music from Europe, Israel, Africa and the United States.

The ensemble itself is almost as diverse. Singers come from Oakland, Palo Alto, San Francisco, Berkeley - and from the Coastside, where Frost, Carol Lewandowski and Ellen Silva live. They have sung at folk festivals and house concerts around the Bay Area.

Admission to the concert is $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and proceeds will benefit the nonprofit G.R.A.C.E. USA. Founded by Half Moon Bay resident Natasha Martin, G.R.A.C.E, serves and supports AIDS orphans and their families in Africa.

Snacks including vegetable dips and tea will follow the concert.
