On the night of Oct. 2 Half Moon Bay police responded to a report of a man trespassing on Kehoe Avenue. When police found the intoxicated man he told them that he was the husband of the woman who lived at the home. The woman was out of state and when police called her she told them that she was separated from her husband and didn't want him in the house, especially while drunk. The man agreed to leave the house.

A man was stopped for a traffic violation and San Mateo County Sheriff's deputies noticed he appeared intoxicated. He was eventually arrested for drunk driving.
HALF MOON BAY
Civil dispute
3 p.m., Sept. 28, Stone Pine Road
Police responded to a disagreement between two parties when one struck the other's parked car with her car door. Both parties refused to exchange information. The report was taken for information only.
Drinking in public
11:15 a.m., Oct. 2, Lewis Foster Drive
Two female students at Half Moon Bay High School were caught drinking and were released to their parents.
Driving without a license
8:53 a.m., Sept. 27, San Mateo Road
After arriving at the site of a non-injury collision, a police officer discovered one of the involved drivers was driving with a suspended license. She was cited for driving with a suspended license and no proof of insurance.
Dumping
6:22 p.m., Oct. 2, Cypress Avenue
Two bags of trash were left on the sidewalk in front of an apartment building. Public Works was notified to remove the garbage.
Identity theft
1:25 p.m., Oct. 2, Laurel Avenue
Police responded to possible identity theft when a loan agent told a woman someone had used her personal information to apply for a home loan. The woman was given information on identity theft and was advised to check all of her bank and credit card accounts.
Stolen car
6:40 a.m., Oct. 2, Colonel Way
A car was reported stolen after the victim parked his car on the street and returned the next morning to find it had disappeared. The car is described as a 1994 purple Honda Civic.
Suspicious person
1:50 p.m., Sept. 28, Kelly Avenue
An officer responded to a report of a suspicious person. The caller told police someone had been driving back and forth past her location. Police contacted the subject who was sitting in her parked car nearby. The woman told police the caller had been following her and tailgating her, so she followed the woman home to get her license plate number. The caller admitted she had been following the suspicious driver but denied following too closely. The report was taken for information only.
Theft
5 p.m., Sept. 27, Main Street
The manager of a local business called police to report a male suspect who had reportedly stolen a bag from in front of the store. When police caught up with him, the man was in possession of the stolen bag and other articles of clothing taken from another store. He was arrested on charges of petty theft and public intoxication and taken to San Mateo County jail.
8:30 a.m., Oct. 1, Main Street
A bicycle was reported stolen after it disappeared from in front of the owner's residence. It was valued at $200.
LA HONDA

10:30 a.m., Sept. 25, Scenic Drive
Sometime over the course of the night someone stole about a thousand feet of copper cable from the area.
Defrauding an innkeeper
7:35 p.m., Sept. 27
Deputies responded to a report of a group of diners leaving the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company without paying the bill. The party of six was seen fleeing in a white VW Jetta. The case is being investigated by the detective bureau.
UNINCORPORATED SAN MATEO COUNTY
Driving without a license
3 p.m., Sept. 25, Highway 1
Sheriff's deputies stopped a man just north of the Santa Cruz County line and found he was driving on a suspended license. He was cited and released.
Suspicious substance
4:30 p.m., Sept. 25, Skyline Boulevard
The Sheriff's Office responded along with fire service officials when a suspicious white powder was discovered in an envelope on Skyline Boulevard. The county's hazardous materials unit tested the powder and determined it was harmless.
