On the evening of May 27, San Mateo County Sheriff's deptuies arrived at the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company on a report of an assault in progress. The manager said he saw two men fighting in the parking lot. A short time later Seton Medical Center Coastside called to report a man seeking medical attention for a laceration to his lower lip. The man refused to press charges because he said he provoked the incident.

Deputies arrived at a residence after a report of a trespasser and found a man with marijuana in his backpack. He was cited and released with a promise to appear.

2:28 a.m., May 27, Coronado Street
A Pacifica man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Deputies found him stopped dangerously close to a cliff with the car in gear. It took deputies several minutes to wake the man and retrieve his keys. He was booked into county jail.
2:07 a.m., May 31, Avenue Alhambra
Deputies stopped a car and found the driver was under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested and taken to First Chance.
Suspicious circumstance
1:08 p.m., May 27, Francisco Street
A resident of Francisco Street woke to find that two couches were dumped in his front yard. Later, the resident learned that the couches were expected at another address.

6:45 a.m., May 31, Main Street
Sometime over the course of the previous night someone took a keg of beer from a restaurant's storage area. The barrel of suds was valued at $50.
Domestic Dispute
1:05 p.m., June 3, Eagle Terrace Drive
Officers were dispatched to a residence where a dispute between a husband and wife was taking place. The husband claimed the wife was damaging his property and the wife claimed that the husband had pushed her. The husband agreed to leave the residence for the night. The case will be sent to the District Attorney for review.

11:15 p.m., May 31, Highway 1
An officer on patrol noticed a car swerving and stopped the driver. The woman failed sobriety tests and she was arrested and taken to San Mateo County jail.
Hit and run
10 p.m., May 25, Jib Court
A caller said that she parked her car for the evening and the next morning she noticed it had been damaged.
Restraining order
May 31, Half Moon Bay Police Department
A concerned father wanted to speak with police about his daughter's possible relationship with a 19-year-old man. The father was told about the restraining order process.
Theft
9:40 p.m., May 26, Highway 1
Police arrived at a local store after a theft was reported. Apparently two juvenile suspects entered the store and took a bottle of alcohol. Officers identified the boys from surveillance video and the pair was arrested at school and released to school staff.
3:30 a.m., May 31, Highway 1
Police arrived to find two juveniles in custody for shoplifting. One of the teens was released to her father.
8:30 a.m., June 1, San Mateo Road
The theft of a foam coyote replica was reported.
2 p.m., June 2, Lewis Foster Drive
School administrators contacted the police department after money was found missing from a student's purse. When officers arrived, a student admitted to taking the money from another student's purse. The offending student was suspended and the case sent to the District Attorney for review.

6 a.m., May 31, Kelly Avenue
A police officer took a call from a resident reporting that a person was trespassing in his backyard. The caller provided a description of the offender and placed him under citizen's arrest. He was eventually taken to San Mateo County jail.

A citizen came into the police department to turn in an unwanted firearm for destruction.

Deputies arrived at the scene after a report of a domestic dispute. They eventually arrested the male and he was taken to San Mateo County jail.

A shop owner placed his canopy next to garbage cans. The next thing he knew he heard a car driving away and saw his canopy was missing.

A group of about 200 people had gathered for a beach party, with tents set up and bonfires raging. Police arrived to tell the crowd that the beach area is closed after dark and bonfires aren't allowed.

As police cleared the beach party one of the partygoers refused to leave. She said she was too drunk to drive, but then she refused to leave with a designated driver. She was arrested and taken to county jail, and released when she was sober.
