I, too, am heartbroken by the loss of Cunha's Country Grocery as that was the main reason for going to Half Moon Bay.
In rebuilding the store, the corner cupola should be reincorporated into the design. Also, the lattice on the roof should be returned, both of which were removed in the 1930s. That would restore the historic integrity to the building and to Main Street.

Rebuild the stage in the back of an upper floor for the shoe and boot department. Bring back the wooden floors (no linoleum, please).
These restorations would be a great tribute to all of us who loved the store.
