A woman originally believed to be missing with her husband off Devil's Slide has been found dead in a San Francisco hotel room.
San Francisco Police say they found the body of 47-year-old Colleen Waterman on Thursday afternoon at a Lombard Street hotel. Her throat had been slashed, according to other media reports, although medical examiners have not released her official cause of death,
Around the same time on Thursday, CHP officials were perplexed to find Waterman's SUV illegally parked off Devil's Slide. San Mateo County Sheriff and Harbor officials searched the nearby cliffs, but did not find any sign of the person who abandoned the vehicle.
Police say they are now searching for Waterman's husband, Billy, as a person of interest in her slaying. Both Waterman and her husband had been reported as missing since Monday. The couple lived in Riverside County.
Billy Waterman is described as 51 years old, 6 feet tall with blue eyes and weighing 160 pounds. Anyone with information on his location is asked to call the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office at (650) 363-4911.
